Oh Christmas Tree

So this year we decided to change it up a bit, from Blue and White to Red and Purple. It was my idea, but the wonderful husband Jim is, he didn't argue. :) Owen was soooo excited to put the tree up! He knew that Thanksgiving meant Christmas was coming. So all day Thursday he was asking for his Christmas Tree. But we made him wait till Friday :)
Needless to say he was so very happy!

Let me tell you, I had to wait till he went to bed to re-arrange some of the ornaments. Because they were all bunched up right there in front of Owen ;)

But he had so much fun, I didn't want to ruin it so we let him do it. Thank goodness for plastic pretty ornaments!

Samantha was loving the lights of course. But most of all she wanted to eat the tinsel. Shiny**

No really Jim was having fun that night! :)

Just the Boys says Owen
His favorite part, Jim's that is! He loves being the daddy!

Owen didn't go to bed till 9:30 that night, gee I wonder why! Too much excitement!!!
This is what we did alot of. Samantha doesn't like to be left out. And she'd rather chew on the attachment to her binky leash, rather than the binky!?

Words CANNOT describe how amazing my family is. And how much fun we all have together! I am so lucky to have them all in my life!

Oh yah....Mommy's nutcracker.......
Jim and I were talking after all the chaos of decorating, and weren't "really" paying attention to what Owen was doing. Jim looked down and saw that Owen was playing with Mommy's Nutcracker. And if you know me, my nutcracker is a fav of mine. So Jim got after Owen and then immediately started laughing. I looked over wondering what was so funny. Well apparently Owen decided that the Nutcracker needed to suck on something!!!! ROFLOL!!! I was crying with laughter! Again a reminder of why I have children, for entertainment value ;)

The aftermath :) Exhaustion!

Trick or Treat!

So this is the first year that Owen truly knew what Halloween is. He'd been asking all month long when he gets to go trick or treating. I had gotten their costumes about a week and half early and Owen wore it off and on the whole time. So by the time the day came, he decided that he didn't want to be a pirate anymore....well too bad that's what I had. I had to tell him that if he wanted to go trick or treating he had to be a pirate. Then it was ok :) It was so cute when the first person he had to trick or treat from came up. He was almost confused. But as soon as that candy hit his bucket, he was asking everyone for trick or treats. We ended up going to the town of Arlington and treating in town. They had a park full of Trunk or Treaters and every small business that was opened was handing out candy as well.
Yes that's a 5 o'clock shadow!

And a mustach :)

Little baby pirate girl! She was a hit of course.

I mean really, who could resist that smile!?

Awe the candy. He was asking all the way to Fred Meyer if he could have any. I told him he had to wait till we got home. But first we had to make a stop and Fred's and visit "T" and decorate a cake.

When he got his little paws on the sprinkles it was all over.

He kept telling me, "Mom I really really loovve sprikles!"

And spiders!

We ran into "T" while we were decorating and I took the opportunity to take a kodak moment. Vicky was a Military girl...I'm not sure which branch. But she was super cute!

The final product, needless to say I didn't eat any of it later ;op

After we were done treating and docorating we got home and the kids played off the sweets and sugars(well Owen did) and I thought they were so cute I didn't want to take them out of their costumes yet.

My little posy girl...she knows that the camera is out!

AARRG Maty :)
