So for Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa Gustafson got Owen some fun toys and a gift card for Walmart. We decided that with that gift card we would get Owen his own potty. And he loves it! The first couple of days it was just fun for him to rip through all the magazines. I tried to bring his own books in, but they weren't as interesting :) But today Owen finally went potty! We were so excited. Of course he still doesn't realize what was so special about the "water" in the toilet. And he thought he should be able to play in the "water"....yep he stuck his hand in his potty :p Now hopefully he'll do this a couple more times and get the idea that it's what he's supposed to do. We are crossing our fingers that maybe in 6 months he'll be out of diapers/pull-ups all together. But of course the doctor told me that he's got the potential for the 4 year old mark. So we aren't getting our hopes up, just crossing our fingers.

Winter Storm
So this is at Jim's parents home. They live in Arlington, not that far from us, but obviously far enough up in elevation. We got about 2 feet. I don't know if you can see the Dog kennel in the background of this picture, but it's got over 2 feet on top. Now imagine the ground, or their deck. I wish I could have gotten pictures of that deck of theirs. I can't believe it didn't go down with all of that weight! And as you can see Jim is up to his knees walking with Owen....Mind you there's more snow under his feet. He actually got stuck in the next step he took and that's why he's carrying Owen. Jim sunk in to almost his hip and we didn't want Owen to get that deep. It was rather comedic I tell ya. The crazy thing is, I used to go up the mountain loop to get snow like that. But 10 minutes from the town of Arlington was all the further we had to go.

Merry Christmas!!!!
We hope that everyone had as good of a Christmas as we did! We were busy, but it was fun. Started out with some eggs benedict, then some web cam fun with Grandma and Grandpa Gus. I'm so glad that we figured that all out! And then a nice and intense ride to the inlaws. I'll have to post some pics of their house. We thought two feet of snow was alot...HAHA! They had 4 feet! In western Washington! So it's been two days now since Christmas and about 24 hours since our last snow and we thought why not go shopping.....WHAT WERE WE THINKING! The parking lots were insane! And not because of the traffic. Because of the Ice, Snow, and Flooding! It was terrible. I really need to get some boots ; ) But anyhow, it was a great holiday.

Baby Samantha Pictures!
These are the coolest pictures ever! It was insane to see Samantha in 3D! It looks like my placenta has moved alot. I've gone from complete placenta previa to almost partial. I guess this means that in about four more weeks I'll be going in for another ultra-sound. So we're crossing our fingers and praying that it keeps moving so we can have a "natural" birth...I mean as natural as it can be with an epideral ; )

One way Washington can be beautiful....
So I thought about how much I don't like Washington for soooo many reasons, but when it snows it's beautiful!
This is coming from a broken Gutter on our house
And this is from the Gutter as well....when it starts to melt and drops on the ground, then freezes immediately
Our back yard....and I was just saying how ugly these trees are with out leaves ; )...So the snow started at 1am last night and it's still snowing! Apparently we are gonna get a few days break before the next stretch of snow....we'll see. You know it wouldn't be so bad if they'd just plow our street so we could get out! And we live by the police department and an elementary! Oh well....at least the in-laws can get to us if we need to get into town. :)
Holy Snow Storm Batman!
So I hear that Utah will be getting hit with what we have been dealing with for the last couple of days. Well here is a taste of what's to come for you all....This was taken about 10:00pm last night. We have recieved over 12 inches of snow in less than 24 hours. And So far this morning we have about another inch or two. And yes, it's still snowing. In fact I'm trying to figure out how to get Owen outside without snow filling his 8 inch deep boots :) I guess the old trick my mom used, Plastic bread bags on his feet ;) It's been very neat to watch, I love the snow! The only thing is that we are stuck at home, I figure hopefully, maybe this afternoon they will finally plow our street.

Snow time fun!
We woke up this morning with some snow...it wasn't enough to build a snow man, and it was melting all day. But then about 4 o'clock in the afternoon it started up again. I was eager to take Owen out and build him a Frosty the Snowman. That's his favorite movie right now. It was 8pm and I decided there was plenty of snow for a Frosty. Sure it was a little bit late, but I remember my parents letting us go out after hours if it snowed. We were outside for about 45 minutes and Owen had a blast. as you can see he loved his Frosty ; ) and he woke us up at 5am this morning looking to go outside again. Of course we're waiting for the sun to come up first. But that means at 7am sharp, we will probably be all bundled up again for some more fun! It snowed a total of about five inches and we're expecting more today! I love the snow!

Back up plan....
Last year, our old computer started to go hay wire. So in a frantic panic, I started e-mailing all the pictures we had on the computer to myself. A few days later Owen turned the computer on by himself and the computer completely shut down. If I hadn't done that, then I would be missing a whole chunk of pictures of Owen from 4 months until about last Christmas. So I guess from now on I will be emailing all photos to myself along with putting them on a disc. I mean really if, God forbid, there is ever a fire or something else I still have these available to me from what ever computer I can get my hands on. I just thought I would share this thought for anyone who is like me and puts all of their photos on the computer without any kind of back up plan.

Uncle Vern!
One of Owen's favorite things to do are look at pictures of family. And as you can tell Uncle Vern's name is the funnest to say. Poor Chris is a combo of uncle & cousin...I think it's Unczin Chris ; p. But needless to say he knows his relatives and loves you all!
