So for Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa Gustafson got Owen some fun toys and a gift card for Walmart. We decided that with that gift card we would get Owen his own potty. And he loves it! The first couple of days it was just fun for him to rip through all the magazines. I tried to bring his own books in, but they weren't as interesting :) But today Owen finally went potty! We were so excited. Of course he still doesn't realize what was so special about the "water" in the toilet. And he thought he should be able to play in the "water"....yep he stuck his hand in his potty :p Now hopefully he'll do this a couple more times and get the idea that it's what he's supposed to do. We are crossing our fingers that maybe in 6 months he'll be out of diapers/pull-ups all together. But of course the doctor told me that he's got the potential for the 4 year old mark. So we aren't getting our hopes up, just crossing our fingers.

At least give the little guy some appropriate magazines, like Hot Rod or Motor Trend!
LoL! Jim has some knife and gun mags that we put in there, but he choses the Life and Style mags over them...I thank Aunty Vicky for that one!
May I ask why he has the potential for the 4 year old mark? Sorry, it's been a VERY long time since I was a mommy with little ones.
Well Owen prefers to sit in yucky diapers. He would rather leak through his pants before getting a diaper change. He fights me every time I need to change his diaper....every time! So the doctor said that because he's a boy, he's the first born, and shows absolutely NO interest in diaper changing, he'll be about four before he's potty trained. So I am hoping and praying I can prove her wrong!
Yay... Pee pee in the Pottttaaaaay...
